Signatures of Steven Paul Riddle’s large-scale canvases include a vital palette, manipulated surfaces, and compositions of broken form. His paintings comment on the contemporary sociopolitical environment utilizing literary fantasies, art history, and pop culture icons.
Riddle appropriates and re-examines, manifesting a labyrinth of the prismatic to be thoughtfully decoded by the onlooker.
Barbara A.G. Riddle's paints Americana in her frenetic style depicting contemporary urban life. Her paintings are refreshing, light hearted and all seem to relate to her gritty New York City scenes. Riddle's canvas mixed colors, lively brush, subject matter and very unique style all work together to create snapshots of commonly shared social interactions.
